Rare Material Trader
Wow. I went to the rare material trader, and it cost 1.5k to buy one of (fur square, linen, leather square, etc.) Well I had a nice pack of 20 fur squares. I just realised that that I could make some money off this. So I drag a fur square over, and the price is 800 per fur! I sell 1, but then, I drag another, and the price is 50. It seems that almost at once, all of the items dropped to about 150 gold, instead of 1.5k. A lot of people must've realised this, and I was just a tad too late. Some probably even bought packs of 10 (fur squares) from the normal trader and sold them for (8k), when they only bought for (4k).
Great opportunity just passed by.

As with the other material traders.....the price will stabilize in a few days. So nothing too worrisome. It's like hoarding 1000 iron and waiting for the price of iron at the trader to go > 100g before selling them.
As least they won't put a tariff on you as an anti-dumping measure....or set up some free trade agreement with you then screw you over :P

I'm surprised though, it was about 3-4 hours after the patch (estimated), and the prices were still the (I'm guessing) standard 1.5k per item.

People were still buying the things in question, so price was still high?

I don't know anyone who would buy 1 fur square for 1.5k when you can get 10 for 4k at the regular material trader. Therefore, I'm guessing that was the start value?

I noticed that the price of steel went up as well. I used to commonly sell steel to the material trader - I'd get at best 2.2k for 10 steel, with an average of 2k for 10 steel, or 200g per piece. Last night I sold 20 steel to the vendor at the price of 750g per piece. It was great. I made 15k for 20 pieces of steel - 11k more than I would have on the previous transfer rate.

I cashed in on rare materials when prices were high as well... but the trader was buying the leather squares for a little too cheap
